Peter McIan
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Before founding SoftOlogy IdeaWorks, Peter was one
of the most successful music producers and recording
engineers in the world, having produced such artists
as Grammy Award winning `Men at Work’ and `Mr.
Mister.’ He has had multiple international successes,
been honored with numerous awards and he’s been
responsible for shaping some of the most influential
music of the decade.
Peter has consulted on the development and design
of electronic products, and has written two successful
books and numerous articles. He has served as a marketing
consultant for companies such as TEAC Corporation
and the Musicians Institute, and has taught at the
University of California at Los Angeles.
His wide range of skills and interests prompted him
to return to California State University to work toward
completion of his degree in psychology. There, he
naturally focused on the role of technology in information
transfer, accelerated knowledge building and the galaxy
of issues involved in how individuals learn most effectively.
This in turn led to his invention of the patented
RapidReader® engine and the formation of SoftOlogy
IdeaWorks. Here, Peter’s extensive background
in technology, business management, and communication
combined with his passion for accelerated learning,
human factors and education. The result is a company
whose mission is to create the next generation of
“Software for the Human Operating System”™.
Duane Anderson
(COO /CFO)
Prior to SoftOlogy, Duane was Vice President of Litton
Data Systems. Duane has more than twenty years experience
in senior management of high technology business environments.
With advanced study at Harvard, Wharton and Stanford
his personal focus during his career has been in the
arenas of financial and strategic operations. While
with Litton, Duane performed the day-to-day operational
interface with all business functions within a range
of corporate initiatives primarily in hand held computing
and communications systems as well as the development
of large-scale communications systems.
Duane holds an MBA from University of Southern California.
Thomas Crosley
(Software and Patent Development)
Tom is one of the founding members of SoftOlogy and
is the co-patent holder of the company's intellectual
properties. Tom is a "double e" holding
a BSEE in hardware and an MS in Computer Science with
a focus on software for telephony. In twenty five
years of experience has was a Senior Engineer with
GTE (General Telephone) AE Labs where he did hardware
design as well as software for in maintenance call
/test. He has extensive international experience in
design of modifications for international versions.
Tom has worked for BNR (Bell Labs Canada) in PBX design,
electronic phone feature design and call processing
software. In implementation he was the technical liaison
with the marketing department in design of feature
specifications.
Prior to SoftOlogy, Tom focused on software design
in the satellite and cable television arena, designing
the scheduling software currently used by DirecTV
in the US, with variants for Japan and South America.
Tom has lectured at Stanford University, authored
several magazine articles and holds seven U.S. patents,
including four in the telephony field.
Tom is a Member of the Professional and Technical
Consultants Association (PATCA) and past member of
its board of directors.

Sid Sheinberg
Sid Sheinberg is presently a Partner in the Bubble
Factory , an entertainment company formed in July
1995 with his sons Jon and Bill Sheinberg . The company
has produced nine motion pictures. .June of 1973,
Sid Sheinberg was elected President and Chief Operating
Officer of MCA, Inc. At that time, he was 38 years
old. During the years of his tenure, Universal Pictures,
a division of MCA, Inc., released the highest-grossing
films of each of the past three decades, beginning
with Jaws in 1975, following with E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial
in 1982 and concluding with Jurassic Park in 1993.
It is no coincidence that Steven Spielberg, a filmmaker
whose career began with Sid's assistance, was the
director of each of these blockbuster hits.In 1955,
Sid Sheinberg completed a four-year program in three
years at Columbia College and subsequently, attended
the University of Texas Law School. Although Sid was
second in his class, in 1956 he transferred to Columbia
Law School, where he was both a Harlan Fiske Stone
and a James Kent Scholar.summer of 1958, he arrived
in California where he accepted a teaching position
at UCLA Law School. In 1959 while awaiting the results
of his California Bar Examination, Sid joined the
legal department of Revue Productions, MCA's former
television subsidiary, and began his career in the
entertainment industry.In 1998, Sheinberg received
Columbia University Law School’s Medal for Excellence,
the highest honor for achievements by its alumni/ae
or faculty.
Bill Sheinberg
Bill Sheinberg is a partner in The Bubble Factory,
a Beverly Hills based entertainment company and content
company formed in 1995.
In 1986, Bill joined the preeminent independent television
company MTM as Vice President Television Development.
MTM produced such quality programming as Hill Street
Blues, St. Elsewhere, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Lou
Grant, Rhoda, WKRP in Cincinnati, Newhart and countless
others. In 1990, Bill was promoted to Vice President
Creative Affairs and in 1992 to Senior Vice President
of Programming with oversight of all development and
production of all series programming for the broadcast
and cable networks, as well as first run syndication.
During his tenure, MTM enjoyed success with such shows
as Evening Shade (Burt Reynolds, Marilu Henner, Hal
Holbrook), Newhart (Bob Newhart), The Trails of Rosie
O’Neil (Sharon Gless, Ed Asner) and the New
WKRP in Cincinnati.
Bill left MTM to serve as Senior Vice President at
Spelling Television. While there he supervised the
development of all series activity including such
shows as Madman of the People (Dabney Coleman), Kindred:
the Embraced, Malibu Shores and the hit WB Network
drama Savannah. Under his guidance, Spelling Television
was rewarded with its largest development slate in
recent years.
Bill received Bachelor degrees in both Psychology
and Sociology from Pitzer College-Claremont Colleges
and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Southern
California Law Center. He is an active member of the
California Bar, American Bar Association, Los Angeles
County Bar Association, Beverly Hills Bar Association,
Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, Academy
of Television Arts and The Producers Guild of America.
