Using the TurboView Console

The TurboView in Pause: the Turbo Control Console

When you Single-Click to Pause, you'll see a wide range of controls and functions.

Perhaps the phone rings or someone walks into the room or you just want some "think time" before you continue. When you PAUSE, the last word you read will remain in the Turbo WIndow. Plus you also have tools and commands available to you without ever leaving TurboView. All with "single click" efficiency.

You can customize:
• Window Position,
• Font Style
• Text Size

TurboView Reading Area

ICON LOCATION.

This is the UserNote icon. It tells you that you have imbedded a Note in the text linked to the word in the TurboView window. Click on the Icon to open your note. This is also where Dog-Ear Icons appear.

READING SPEED INDICATOR

When you are RapidReading, Move the mouse or Single Click to see your current reading speed.

PAGE NUMBER and PROGRESS BAR

Click on the up or down pointer to alter the speed by 25 WPM per click. Tells you where you are in a document by page # and percentage completed.

NOTE: In RR PRO page numbers are
synchronized with the souce PDF file

REWIND BY PARAGRAPH

Go back one paragraph per click. You can also use the ALT key in combination to rewind by page.

BACK by LINE

If you miss something you can go BACK a line at a time per click.

STOP

will return you to the ParagraphView. There you can "scroll and scan" or use the various functions of the Menubar

Click and resume RapidReader from the word that appears in the window.

FORWARD

will allow you to Skip Forward a Paragraph at a time.

Click on the up or down pointer to alter the speed by 25 WPM per click.

ADD A NOTE

Click and the NOTE editor will appear. Your note will be attached to the word currently in the TurboView window.

DOG-EAR A PAGE

Click and place a Dog-Ear Marker to act as a reminder of a location of interest in the document.

HIGHLITE TEXT

Click to Highlite a range of text in ParagraphView. The Highlited passage will be displayed in a vivid green color when RapidReading.

SAVE AS .r2d FILE

Click to save the document as a RapidReader file. This will retain the original content plus all of your markup, Notes and Highlited text.
